For professionals
The perfect profile guide
Families find you here when their pet is sick or they've just said goodbye. A complete, warm profile is how they know you're the right person to call. Here's exactly what to add, why it matters, and how each piece moves you up.

How your profile is scored
Location always comes first: families only see professionals who serve their area. When a family has a choice, a published 100-point score decides the order. Read the full rules.
Your dashboard shows your own score, what earned it, and your single best next step.
Build your profile, section by section
These are the eight sections in your editor, in order. Most people finish in about ten minutes.
What you do
4 pointsEvery service you tick puts you on that service's page, so this is how families find you in the first place. Tick everything you really offer, then mark how you deliver each one: at your location, in the family's home, or virtually.
- Tick every service you offer, not just your main one
- Set how each service is delivered. A service with no method earns nothing
- Your provider type is part of your web address, so we set it with you and change it for you if it's ever wrong
Where you are, and where you serve
3 pointsLocation comes before everything else in our search. A family only sees professionals who can actually serve them, so an empty service area means you're invisible to people you could have helped.
- Add your city, state, and zip even if you work from home. Your street address is optional
- If you travel to families, set how far you go in miles
- If you work by phone or video, add the states you serve, or choose nationwide
If you're the only in-home euthanasia veterinarian serving a town, you're first there. Nobody from somewhere else can outrank you.
The essentials
18 pointsThis is where a family decides whether you're the one. Your short description shows in search results, and your About story is the heart of your profile.
- Short description (3 points): one or two sentences on what you do and who you help. Make someone want to click
- About story (10 points at 700 characters, about 120 words): who you are, who you serve, your approach, your experience, and what happens after they reach out
- Book Appointment link (3 points): families can book you in one click
- Phone and website (1 point each): let people reach you however they're comfortable
Write it the way you'd talk to a worried family in your exam room or on the phone. Warm and specific beats polished.
Photos
10 pointsNobody goes live without a photo or logo, and listings with real photos get chosen more. Families are looking for a person they can trust on a very hard day.
- Photo or logo (6 points): at least 400 by 400 pixels. A warm photo of you works best for an individual, a logo for a business
- Gallery (4 points for three or more photos): you with patients, your team, your space, your vehicle, the keepsakes you make
- Skip stock photos. Families can tell
Hours of operation
1 pointTick the days you're open, or choose 24 hours, by appointment, or flexible. Families often search at night and want to know when they can reach you.
Payments you accept
1 pointFamilies like to know before they call. Tick every method you accept.
Details
3 pointsCredentials, a personal quote, the year you started, and any honors. They're optional, and they're often what tips a family toward you.
- Credentials (3 points): tick every certification that applies and add anything we're missing. We verify licenses before a veterinary listing goes live, and it's quick
- Personal quote: one line that gives families a feel for your heart or your approach
Links
Add your website and the social channels you actively use. More ways to get to know you means more trust. Leave out the ones you don't keep up.
Once you're live
The profile gets you to 40 points. These get you the other 60.
Ask families for reviews
30 pointsThe first few matter most: three strong reviews earn about 12 points, ten earn about 24. Send your personal review link to families you've helped. It's on your dashboard.
Add your badge and QR code
4 pointsThe Love, Baxter Approved badge on your website tells families you've been vetted. Your QR code links straight to your profile: print it on cards, brochures, and your front desk.
Stay active
6 pointsSign in once a season and keep your listing current. Families can tell when a profile is looked after, and so can our search.
Your biggest member benefit
Your first 50 memorial trees are free
Most businesses send a card when a client loses a pet. A card gets read once and put in a drawer. A real tree, planted in their pet's name at a verified restoration site, is still growing twenty years from now, and the certificate that names the exact spot carries your logo.
Survey figures: MetLife pet owner survey, 2025.
All we need from you is the pet's name and where the certificate should go. We plant the tree, verify it, and email the certificate. No inventory, nothing to mail, nothing for your team to fulfill. Families see a simple "Plants memorial trees" mark on your profile.

Questions we hear a lot
Is it really free?
Yes. Every listing in the directory is free, and nobody can pay to rank higher. If we ever offer paid placement, it'll be clearly labeled.
How do I sign in?
There's no password. Enter your email on the sign-in page and we'll send you a one-click link. If it doesn't arrive within a minute or two, check spam, then email support@lovebaxter.com.
How long does approval take?
A real person reviews every listing. We aim for one to two business days, and we'll email you if we need anything. For veterinary listings we verify the license first.
Do I need my own website?
No. Your profile can be your home on the web, with your own QR code that links straight to it. If you have a site, link it.
I have more than one location. What do I do?
Each location gets its own profile so families nearby can find it. From your dashboard, choose "Have a second location?" and we'll set it up under the same sign-in email.
How do I ask families for reviews?
Your dashboard has your personal review link. Send it to families you've helped. We read every review before it's published.
Stuck on anything?
Email support@lovebaxter.com and a real person will help.
