About Healing Spaces

Dr. Alissa Hebert-Wallace earned her Doctor of Social Work degree from Simmons University and her Master of Social Work degree from Tulane University.  Alissa specializes in trauma-focused care and compassion fatigue and has delivered numerous presentations on both.  She engages in veterinary social work, focusing on grief and bereavement in anticipation of or following companion animal loss, and on intentional wellness among veterinary professionals. Alissa believes that all pets are emotional support animals and enjoys living in the country with her husband and their animals.

Alissa is also the founding therapist of Healing Spaces, a group practice in central MS.  Her therapists also provide trauma-focused services on a number of topics, including grief and bereavement.  Additionally, she has a wide network of colleagues outside of MS and would love to helpif you need connecting.
