About The Art of Goodbye

The greatest gift a veterinary professional can give a family is to provide them with the education, tools, resources and support they require to identify comfort and quality of life in their pet - Emily Piche, RVT, CHPT, CPEP

My name is Emily Piché, RVT, CHPT, CPEP, and I’ve made it my life’s work to ensure that pets, and the families who love them, have access to compassionate hospice and peaceful end-of-life care.

Since 2018, I’ve had the honour of guiding thousands of families through the emotional journey of a pet’s terminal illness and final days. At The Art of Goodbye, our focus is on family-centered care that prioritizes your pet’s comfort and quality of life above all else.

We’re here to provide you with on-demand education, tools, and resources to help you confidently recognize signs of comfort, and quality of life for your pet, so you and your family will know “when it’s time”.  You don’t have to face these questions and uncertainty alone.

Our on-demand support videos offer clear, gentle guidance on what to expect, questions to ask your veterinarian, what to consider before agreeing to more testing or surgery, and how to care for a terminally ill pet. You’ll also find world-class grief and wellness resources to support your entire family.

Our pets give us a lifetime of unconditional love, this is our chance to give them the peaceful goodbye they deserve. We're here to help you every step of the way. ♥️
