About Reflections Pet Aquamation Services
“Reflecting love, honouring life in a gentler way for pets and the environment.”
When you’re saying goodbye to a beloved pet, you want to know they’ll be treated with the same love, dignity and care you gave them throughout their life. That’s why Reflections exists. 💙
I’m Michelle Kaczmarek, founder of Reflections Pet Aquamation Services, an IAOPCC Registered Pet Funeral Director, Certified Pet Bereavement Specialist and Certified Crematory Operator—and, most importantly, a pet parent to Lainey and Cooper.
Reflections was born from the heartbreaking loss of our 14-year-old rescue dog, Dixie. The aftercare experience we had felt impersonal, corporate and transactional, and it didn’t reflect the love and dignity she deserved. I knew there had to be a more personal way to care for pets and support their families.
That experience led me to discover aquamation, a gentle, water-based alternative to traditional flame cremation. I created Reflections to offer local pet families the kind of aftercare I would want for my own pets: compassionate, transparent, personalized and affordable, with every pet treated as an individual—not a number.
💙 What families can expect from Reflections
🐾 Personal, compassionate care from a locally owned, Canadian, family-run business
🐾 Individualized aftercare with your pet treated with dignity and respect
🐾 Affordable options without compromising the quality of care
🐾 A peaceful private Pet Visitation Room where families can spend time with their pet and say goodbye
🐾 Clear communication and transparency throughout the process
🐾 Complimentary keepsakes to help preserve special memories
🐾 A gentle alternative to traditional flame cremation
🐾 Support for families before, during and after their loss
💧 Why families choose aquamation
Aquamation uses water, gentle heat and alkaline salts instead of flames. There is no burning of fossil fuels and no harmful air emissions associated with combustion.
The process can also return more of your pet's mineral remains compared with traditional flame cremation, which means more of the physical connection to your pet can come home with you.
The resulting sterile water solution consists primarily of water and naturally occurring components and can be managed through appropriate wastewater systems where permitted.
For families who care about making environmentally conscious choices, aquamation offers a lower-impact, water-based alternative to traditional flame cremation.
Most importantly, at Reflections, we believe that choosing an environmentally gentler option should never mean choosing anything less than exceptional care for your pet.
Your pet is family. Their final journey deserves to be handled with love. 💙
