About Heartkind Home Veterinary Care

“Every visit is guided by compassion, kindness and respect.”

Hearkind Home Veterinary Care was created to support pets and the people who love them through gentle, thoughtful support during some of the most meaningful and challenging seasons of life. I’m Dr. Chrissy Nawash, a veterinarian who focuses exclusively on senior pet care, hospice and palliative support, quality-of-life guidance, and peaceful in-home euthanasia.

I work with families whose pets are aging or living with chronic or life-limiting illness, helping them navigate care decisions with honesty, compassion, and clarity. In addition to hospice and end-of-life care, I offer in-depth senior care consultations—unhurried visits designed to understand the whole picture and provide personalized recommendations to help pets feel their best for as long as possible.

My approach is calm, compassionate, and deeply respectful of each family’s experience. I believe there is no single “right” path—only what feels most loving and appropriate for each pet and family. I strive to create space for questions, emotions, and thoughtful decision-making, without pressure or judgment.

After years in veterinary medicine, I felt called to focus my work on end-of-life care. I pursued certification in veterinary hospice and palliative care and have been providing compassionate in-home euthanasia for over four years. More recently, I’ve expanded my practice to support families earlier in their journey through in-depth senior pet consultations and advanced training in senior dog care. It is an honor to walk with families through moments that matter most.

Heartkind Home Veterinary Care is a mobile practice, providing care in your home where pets are most comfortable. You can reach out in whatever way feels right-–phone call, text, email or booking online.  If you’re seeking guidance, comfort, or support, I’m here to help.

Losing our beloved cat was one of the hardest experiences our family has faced, but Dr. Chrissy helped guide us through it with a level of compassion and professionalism that we will never forget. Her in‑home service allowed our sweet girl to spend her final moments in the comfort of her favorite spot, surrounded by the people who loved her most, without the stress or fear that often comes with a trip to the veterinary clinic. From the moment she arrived, Dr. Chrissy brought a calm, grounding presence into our home. She was incredibly empathetic—not only toward our cat, but toward each of us as we navigated the emotions of saying goodbye. She explained every step with gentleness and clarity, gave us all the time we needed, and treated our cat with genuine tenderness and respect. What could have been an overwhelming and traumatic moment instead became peaceful, loving, and dignified. We are deeply grateful for the care, patience, and compassion Dr. Chrissy showed our family. Her support made an unbearable day just a little more bearable, and we cannot thank her enough for the grace she brought to our cat’s final moments. We wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Chrissy to any family facing this difficult decision. Her kindness is a gift.
