About
As a pet owner, animal trainer, and Veterinary Social Worker, I know about the importance of the relationships and bonds we have with our animals. They love us unconditionally. They are a source of support during tough times. So how can we possibly go on without them?
Through 1:1 Support Sessions, I can support you during your grief journey to help you learn how to integrate the memories of your animal into your life. We will explore your loss history (both animals and humans), and current beliefs about end of life and loss. During this process, you will be able to build a stronger foundation of understanding grief and how you can move forward in honor of your animal. I look forward to learning about your animal and carrying their memory in my heart. I look forward to walking along side you during these dark times and being a companion to you in your grief journey.
I also have many conversations regarding end of life and helping owners recognize when it might be time to compassionately say good bye. Whether it is an aging animal with health complications, or an animal of any age with behavioral challenges, I am here for you. We will use Quality of Life (QoL) scales that take both your animal's QoL and your QoL into consideration. We will discuss the anticipatory grief you are experiencing and what you want your animal's good bye to look like. It is never too early to think about this process and have a plan in place! This can reduce the stress on both you and your animal when the time comes.
