About
I am a clinically experienced veterinarian specializing in pain management, palliative care, and end-of-life support for companion animals. My work combines medical expertise with certifications in veterinary medical acupuncture and clinical pastoral education to provide holistic, empathetic care to pets and their families.
As an entrepreneur and educator, I’ve founded two veterinary practices dedicated to integrative therapies and in-home end-of-life care. I also lead seminars on euthanasia communication, humane veterinary practices, and emotional resilience, serving national and international audiences.
Mentorship and education are at the heart of my work. I guide veterinary students and technicians in developing essential skills like bedside manner, grief support, and self-care to enhance their professional and personal growth. Additionally, I act as a subject matter expert at the University of Vermont’s esteemed Companion Animal End of Life Doula professional certificate program.
Beyond the clinic, I contribute through writing, podcast appearances, and volunteer work with animal shelters and wildlife rehabilitation centers. My passion lies in elevating the human-animal bond through compassionate, thoughtful care and education.
