Kelly Daugherty, LCSW, PLLC
About
Kelly Daugherty, LCSW-R, FT is a grief counselor who understands that the death of a pet is not “just a loss”—it’s the death of a companion, a source of comfort, and often, part of the family’s heartbeat. Kelly’s passion for supporting those who are grieving the loss of a pet is rooted in her own experience. Her beloved cairn terrier, PJ, died suddenly just a few years ago, a loss she wrote about in The Grief Experience. Ten months later, her Boston terrier, Boomer, crossed the rainbow bridge. The back-to-back deaths left a profound void, one that deepened her commitment to creating a space where people can speak honestly about the pain of pet loss. Through her counseling practice, she helps individuals process this unique kind of grief with compassion and validation.
