About

Forget Me Not Euthanasia was founded by Dr. Karen Randall, a veterinarian with 33 years of experience and the last 15 devoted exclusively to hospice, palliative care, and in-home euthanasia. This practice reflects both her clinical expertise and her deeply held belief that the ending of a pet’s life should honor everything that came before it.

Dr. Randall believes that, whenever possible, death should be gentle, dignified, and surrounded by love. It should feel safe. It should not feel clinical, rushed, or impersonal. Through Forget Me Not Euthanasia, she offers families the opportunity to say goodbye in their own homes, allowing pets to remain in familiar surroundings and families to move at their own pace, without pressure or hurry.

In addition to decades of veterinary practice, Dr. Randall has pursued additional training in pet loss and bereavement and has facilitated both human and pet loss support groups in the past. This experience informs her understanding that end-of-life care extends beyond the medical moment. Supporting families means bearing witness to their grief, honoring their relationship, and offering steady, compassionate presence before, during, and after goodbye.

Dr. Randall is a lifelong lover of animals and a strong believer in the power of the human–animal bond to change lives. That belief guides every visit and every conversation. She lives in Minneapolis with her husband, a German Shepherd Dog named Luther, a freakishly large doodle named Cullen, and the perfect cat, Alfie—constant reminders of how deeply animals shape our lives, and why their final moments deserve the same care, respect, and love as every moment that came before.
