Angela Lawson is an International Award Winning photographer, a Certified Professional Photographer, and has earned her Photographic Craftsman and Master of Photography Degrees thru PPA. She is also an Accredited Professional of Animal Imagery and a member of the International Society of Animal Photographers. Her art has been displayed in publications like Professional Photographers Magazine, on billboards throughout Michigan, and even in ArtPrize (which is an open art competition, in which hundreds of artists from all over the world display their work throughout the city of Grand Rapids, Michigan).   Angela started in photography over 28 years ago, back in the days of film, and has seen many changes in the industry. Having worked as a veterinary assistant for several years (as she was just learning photography), working for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources as a volunteer animal rehab foster home, as well as volunteering at several Humane Societies and animal rescue organizations, she has a unique perspective on how to work with animals. It doesn’t hurt that she has a soft spot for anything with fur, feathers, or even scales!

Angela is currently a PPA (Professional Photographers of America) Council Member, was on the PPA Certification Committee, was a CPP Liaison for PPA for many years, is a current member of Professional Photographers of Michigan, and Past President of Professional Photographers of Western Michigan. She is also a member of the International Society of Animal Photographers, where she holds a seat on the board and as a committee member. She is also working toward becoming an approved juror for PPA.
