About
Dr. John Murray is a veterinarian dedicated to helping pets and their families navigate the final chapters of life with compassion, dignity, and peace.
After graduating from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Murray worked in general practice, urgent care, emergency medicine, and relief veterinary medicine. Through those experiences, he found his greatest sense of purpose in supporting families when there was no longer something to cure, but there was still so much care that could be given.
Today, Dr. Murray focuses on in-home euthanasia, veterinary hospice and palliative care, and quality-of-life consultations. His goal is to help families better understand their pet's changing needs, recognize signs of discomfort, and feel supported when making difficult end-of-life decisions.
As a CAETA Certified Peaceful Euthanasia Veterinarian, Dr. Murray is committed to making the euthanasia experience as gentle and peaceful as possible. In-home appointments allow pets to remain in the place they know best, surrounded by the people they love.
Beyond his work directly with families, Dr. Murray is passionate about pet owner education and end-of-life advocacy. Through Murray Veterinary and his social media platforms, he helps pet owners better understand quality of life, hospice care, anticipatory grief, and what to expect during the euthanasia process.
His philosophy is simple: a peaceful goodbye is one final act of love.
