Altos Veterinary Clinic

Dr. Delio Tamayo founded Altos Veterinary Clinic (AVC) in 1978. He worked hard to build our reputation as the finest veterinary clinic in the area. The current facility was built in 1991.  Dr. Tamara White joined the practice in 2005, and then in 2009 she purchased the clinic from Dr. Tamayo.  Dr. White is affiliated with the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) and is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) as well as our local Veterinary Societies.

AVC is a place where genuine care, comfort and quality veterinary medicine is our highest mission. We strive to provide the finest client service, a kind word, and a “can do” attitude in all our communication, and to do this in a compassionate and family-oriented manner. We believe that it is through communicating with the pet owner that we can work together to give pets a happy and healthy home environment. The best practice experience celebrates a love of pets and people, instilling a sense of well-being and honors the best in each of our clients.   We recognize that each pet is unique and treat them that way. By satisfying our clients’ and their pets’ needs, they will continue to do business with us, they will recommend us to others, and we will continue to grow.

We provide complete companion animal health care.  This includes general medicine and diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, and counseling on nutrition and behavior.  We take care of senior animals and end of life care for cats and dogs.  We also have medical boarding facilities on site.
