We don’t remember life as a highlight reel. We remember fragments. A favorite chair. A patch of sunlight. A paw resting on a knee. Sometimes an entire relationship lives inside a single ordinary detail.

My end-of-life sessions are quiet, documentary-style sessions that take place in the comfort of your home. There are no props, no elaborate setups, and no expectation that anyone will smile for the camera. It’s just you and the love you have for your good boy or pretty girl.

I photograph what is already there. The small moments that tell the story of a life shared. 

As a former journalist, I approach these sessions with sensitivity and respect for the truth of the moment. Some families laugh. Some cry. Most do both. My role is simply to observe, document, and preserve the connection between you and the animal you love.

The resulting photographs become more than a record of a difficult day. They are a testament to a relationship, and to a life that mattered.
